Understanding the difference between a Section 504 Plan and an Individualized Education Program (IEP) can be confusing. The infographic below provides a helpful overview of the key differences between the two.

If you believe your child has a medical condition or disability that may require reasonable accommodations to access their education, but does not require specialized instruction they may be eligible for a Section 504 Plan.

If you have concerns about your child's needs or are unsure whether a 504 Plan or an IEP may be appropriate, please contact your child's principal or school counselor. Our school counselors serve as the Section 504 Coordinators for each school and can guide families through the referral and eligibility process.
