Dear Parents and Guardians, 

Welcome back to a new school year! I hope you and your family have enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating summer. As the school year begins, I want to share important information about health and wellness to ensure a successful and healthy year for all our students. 

1. Health Forms and Medications: If your child requires medication during school hours, please complete the necessary medication authorization forms. These forms, along with the medication, should be brought to the school nurse’s office. This includes prescription and any over the counter medications. Any updates to health records or emergency contact information should also be submitted. 

2. Immunizations: Please ensure that your child’s immunizations are up-to-date according to the school’s requirements. If your child has received any new vaccinations, kindly provide the updated records to the school nurse. 

3. Health Concerns: If your child has any chronic health conditions or specific needs, please inform me so that we can work together to create a health plan that supports their well-being at school. 

4. Sick Policy: If your child is feeling ill or exhibiting symptoms of contagious illnesses, such as fever, vomiting, or a persistent cough, please keep them at home to prevent the spread of illness. Our school’s policy requires that students be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to school. Please enter your child’s absence reason in the Parent Portal.  

5. Emergency Contact Information: Make sure your emergency contact information is current. It’s essential for us to be able to reach you or a designated contact in case of any health-related emergencies. 

I am here to support your child’s health and well-being throughout the school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Let’s work together to ensure a healthy and successful school year for all our students. I will be available at BTS night if you have any questions or need to drop off any paperwork for your child.
