Hello, and welcome! My name is Mrs. Elba Alves Castrovinci, and I am honored to serve as the Director of Special Services for the Little Falls Township Public School District. I am a proud Little Falls Hornet! I am grateful to be part of a community that truly believes in supporting every child and every family.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to serve students and educators in many different roles, including elementary and middle school teacher, reading specialist, supervisor, elementary principal, and Director of Early Childhood Education. Each experience has strengthened my belief that every child can succeed when we work together, build meaningful relationships, and celebrate each student's unique strengths.

My own educational journey shapes the work I do. I am the first-generation daughter of two hardworking parents from Northern Portugal. Portuguese was my first language, and I began learning English when I was five years old. Like many of the students and families we serve, I understand what it feels like to learn something new, overcome obstacles, and rely on the encouragement of caring teachers and supportive adults. Those experiences continue to inspire my commitment to ensuring that every child has access to opportunities, understanding, and the support they need to thrive.

Outside of school, my favorite role is being a mom to my three wonderful children. Watching my own children learn, grow, and discover their passions reminds me every day of the importance of creating schools where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired.

I believe the best outcomes happen when we work together with trust, compassion, and open communication. It is my privilege to partner with you as we support your child and help them reach their fullest potential.

As we begin this journey together, I invite you to join us in this year's theme, "Bee-yond the Classroom." While learning begins in our classrooms, a child's success is shaped by the partnerships we build with families, educators, and the community. Together, we will look bee-yond the classroom to nurture confidence, independence, meaningful relationships, and lifelong skills that empower every student to thrive. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your child's educational journey. I look forward to getting to know your family and working alongside you as we help every student soar both inside the classroom and bee-yond!
