Mrs. Marinelli's Virtual Superintendent's Office
Welcome to Little Falls Township Public Schools!
My name is Tracey Marinelli, and I am honored and grateful to serve as Superintendent of Schools in the open-hearted community of Little Falls. Having recently completed my 11th year in the district, I continue to be inspired each day by our incredible students, dedicated staff, supportive families, and committed Board of Education. Whether you are a returning family or joining us for the first time, I extend my warmest welcome to our school community.
It has been the privilege of my career to lead a district that believes every child deserves exceptional opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive. I was humbled to be recognized as the 2019 Passaic County Superintendent of the Year and the 2020 New Jersey Region I Superintendent of the Year, honors that reflect the collective work of our outstanding educators, students, families, and community partners.
The mission of the Little Falls Township Public Schools is to work collaboratively with our families and community to inspire every student to reach their fullest potential through meaningful educational experiences, exceptional teaching, and innovative opportunities that prepare them for success in an ever-changing world.
As we continue to move our district forward, our work is guided by a commitment to academic excellence, continuous improvement, and the development of the whole child. Through our Portrait of a Hornet, we have identified the essential skills, character traits, and dispositions we want every Little Falls graduate to embody. Together, we are preparing students to become confident communicators, critical thinkers, compassionate leaders, resilient problem-solvers, and responsible citizens who are ready to make a positive impact on their communities and beyond.
Our district goals and objectives remain focused on:
- Analyzing curriculum and assessment to maximize student achievement and ensure continuity across grade levels.
- Strengthening communication and partnerships among our schools, families, and community.
- Supporting innovative teaching practices through the meaningful integration of technology across the curriculum.
While academic achievement is at the heart of our work, we recognize that educating children extends far beyond the classroom. We are equally committed to nurturing students' social and emotional well-being, fostering a culture of belonging, and creating safe, inclusive learning environments where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
Strong schools are built on strong relationships. I believe in open, honest, and transparent communication and encourage families to stay connected through our district website, Education News newsletter, Instagram (@lfsuperintendent), and our monthly Talk a Latte with the Superintendent sessions. These opportunities allow us to celebrate successes, share ideas, and continue strengthening the partnership between home and school.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education of your children. It is a responsibility we embrace with great pride, and I look forward to continuing our work together as we inspire every student to achieve their very best.
My door is always open.
